Biography

Nick Yfantis was born in 1968 in Patras, Greece, where he lives and works as a Civil Engineer. He studied photography in courses organized by the Municipality of Patras.

As a photographer, he has participated in many group exhibitions and has presented his work on various websites. His photos have received awards in competitions and have been published in magazines, newspapers, and featured as covers of books and CDs. From 2014 to 2020, his photographs were published in the alternative travel magazine “Epathlo” (www.epathlo.gr).

In 2014, he was honored by the Rion-Antirrion Bridge S.A. for his work on the bridge. He was a founding member of the Patras Photography Club “Idyfos,” where he served as vice president from 2008–2011 and president from 2011–2014. During his presidency, in 2012, the club organized the “Photography Days” festival for the first time in Patras.

He has held two solo exhibitions with his wife and photographer Alexia Touliou: one in 2015 with the theme “Dreams,” and another in 2016 on the traditional custom “Alevromountzouromata” in Galaxidi, supported by the Municipality of Delphi.

In 2017, his first photobook titled “575” was published by “To Donti” publications, featuring his photos and texts by Alexia Touliou. In 2023, he released the book “Traces in the Sand,” also by “To Donti,” featuring photographs, poems, and writings by Alexia Touliou, who passed away prematurely. A tribute collection in her memory, gathering the light, the shadow, and the traces of her presence.
